E. Parker Herring is the founder and director of A Child’s Hope, a licensed North Carolina adoption agency that has helped place more than 470 babies with loving families since 2000. A Raleigh native and passionate advocate for adoption, Parker has dedicated her career to supporting birth parents and adoptive families with personalized, compassionate guidance throughout every step of the adoption journey.

With over 40 years of legal experience, Parker is a board-certified family law specialist and a recognized authority in adoption, surrogacy and assisted reproduction law. She leads a team of experienced adoption counselors who provide in-person support to clients across North Carolina, ensuring that every family receives the care and expertise they need.

Parker’s commitment to adoption is both professional and deeply personal. She is the mother of three children—two adopted and one born with the help of advanced fertility treatments—giving her unique insight and empathy for the families she serves.

A 1975 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a 1985 graduate of the Wake Forest University School of Law, Parker has spent her entire career in Wake County. In addition to leading A Child’s Hope, she is the founder and managing member of Parker Herring Law Group, PLLC, where she focuses exclusively on adoption and assisted reproduction law.
